Guidelines
Community guidelines, safety & privacy
Rules for offering services, contacting neighbours and protecting your privacy.
Be a good neighbour
- Reply to enquiries within a couple of days, even if it's “not this time”.
- Keep your availability up to date: pause when you're away.
- Be kind in reviews: specific, fair, about the experience.
Be honest about your skills
- Living in Solivita is not a qualification.
- List licensed work (electrical, plumbing, AC) only if you hold the license, under Licensed trades.
- Describe which jobs you can take on and which you cannot.
Stay safe
- Never pay upfront with gift cards, wire transfers or crypto.
- Meet first in a clubhouse for marketplace items if you prefer.
- Report anything that feels wrong: reports go privately to Lisa.
Your privacy
- Your street address is private; neighbours see only your neighbourhood.
- Phone and email are shown only if you opt in.
- Businesses cannot message residents first. Advertising is off unless it is turned on, and is always labelled “Sponsored”.
- We don't sell your data. No social feed, no tracking for ads.
Money
- GoldBook takes no payments and no commission. Agree fees directly.
- Free help is just as welcome as paid.
